Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 2025
By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or using the Healing Hands website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. About Healing Hands
Healing Hands is a skin correction clinic based in Brisbane, Queensland, operated by a qualified skin practitioner. We offer practitioner-led skin and laser services, retail skincare products, and educational resources.
All treatment recommendations are made at the discretion of the treating practitioner based on your individual skin concerns and clinical assessment.
2. Bookings & Appointments
How We Book: At Healing Hands, clients book by skin concern or journey — not by treatment modality. The treating practitioner determines which treatments are most appropriate on the day, based on your skin assessment and intake information.
By booking, you understand and accept that the specific treatment performed may differ from initial expectations, as clinical decisions are made in your best interest.
Confirmation & Reminders: Appointments are confirmed via email or SMS. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are current. Reminder messages are a courtesy only — missed reminders do not waive your obligation to attend or provide adequate cancellation notice.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, your appointment may be shortened or rescheduled at the practitioner’s discretion. Full fees may still apply.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that life happens. However, late cancellations and no-shows impact other clients and our small team. A booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The following policy applies:
More than 24 hours’ notice: No fee. Your booking fee will be transferred to your new appointment.
Late cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice): Your booking fee is forfeited. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
No-show (no notice given): The full value of the missed treatment will be charged. You will be invoiced for the outstanding amount, which must be paid before a new appointment can be booked.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in full prepayment being required for future bookings, or refusal of service at our discretion.
4. Payments & Pricing
All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Pricing is subject to change without notice. The price confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured for that appointment.
We accept the following payment methods:
Credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard)
EFTPOS
Buy Now Pay Later (where available)
Cash (exact amount preferred)
Payment is due at the time of service. We do not offer credit or invoice accounts for individual clients.
5. Health, Medical & Contraindications
Your safety is our priority. You are required to complete an intake form prior to your first appointment (and updated when relevant). It is your responsibility to disclose:
All current medications, including topical treatments
Relevant medical conditions, skin conditions, or previous procedures
Pregnancy or breastfeeding status
Known allergies or sensitivities
Recent sun exposure, cosmetic injections, or other treatments
Failure to disclose relevant information may affect treatment outcomes and releases Healing Hands from liability for any adverse effects arising from undisclosed conditions.
Healing Hands reserves the right to decline or modify treatment if, in the practitioner’s clinical judgement, proceeding would not be safe or appropriate.
6. Treatment Results & Expectations
Skin results vary between individuals and are influenced by factors including skin type, lifestyle, compliance with homecare recommendations, and the number of treatments received.
Healing Hands does not guarantee specific outcomes. Before and after images, case studies, and testimonials shown on our website and social media are examples only and are not a guarantee of results.
We encourage clients to follow their practitioner’s homecare advice and attend recommended follow-up appointments for best results.
7. Informed Consent
Prior to treatment, you will be asked to review and sign a consent form. By signing, you confirm that:
You have read and understood the information provided about the treatment
You have disclosed all relevant health and medical information
You understand the potential risks and side effects
You consent to the treatment being performed
Consent may be withdrawn at any time before treatment commences. Once a treatment has begun, interruption may not always be possible and will be managed at the practitioner’s discretion.
8. Product Sales & Returns
Skincare products purchased from Healing Hands (in-clinic or online) are subject to the following conditions:
Products are non-refundable once opened or used, unless the product is faulty.
Unopened products may be returned within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase, at the discretion of management.
We are unable to accept returns on products purchased with a discount or as part of a bundle, unless faulty.
Faulty Products
If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or store credit.
9. Gift Vouchers & Prepaid Packages
Gift vouchers and prepaid packages are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash.
Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts unless otherwise stated.
Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. Please treat them as cash.
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase in accordance with Queensland gift card laws.
10. Privacy & Personal Information
Healing Hands is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
The personal and health information you provide is collected for the purpose of delivering safe and appropriate skin care services. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
